The deadline for people to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act and Cover Oregon has been extended to April 30. Multnomah County will help you sign up at three more application fairs.

The continuing need to provide food for struggling families prompted Multnomah County’s Board of Commissioners on Thursday to allocate $100,000 to help those residents still reeling from the Great Recession.

The Multnomah Youth Commission will focus on gang/police, school, and sexual/dating violence during its 3rd Annual Rob Ingram Youth Summit Against Violence from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 at the Ambridge Event Center, 1333 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Portland.
