Gender Specific Services for Young Women
This program partners with the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS), Wrap Around Oregon, Oregon Youth Authority, GIRLS, Inc. etc. to address the needs of these young women. This program works together to handle the assessment, adjudication, placement, case planning, treatment services and supervision of approximately 130 girls for an average caseload of 26 clients per JCC. These youth are under the court’s supervision for violating the law and not appropriate for informal handling due to the level of risk they present to the community and/or to themselves. Not all delinquent females are supervised by this program. Depending on their circumstances, young women under the court’s supervision might also be assigned to the Juvenile Department’s Domestic Violence (DV) caseload or to the Family Services Unit (FSU).
