After growing up in Vancouver, WA, Sean graduated from Reed College in 2001 with a degree in psychology and completed his Masters in Public Administration from Portland State in 2008. He worked nearly five years in Troutdale with Edgefield Children’s Services, a mental health program through Morrison Child and Family Services, and has also been a part of the Civic Leaders Project to coordinate board diversity efforts of local nonprofits and government commissions, volunteer programming for Hostelling International's Oregon Chapter, and most recently worked with the State of Oregon DHS both in Child Welfare and the Center for Health Statistics.
Sean is Commissioner McKeel's policy advisor for state and federal legislation, the East Multnomah County Transportation Committee and other transportation issues, Veterans committees at the county and state level and veterans services efforts, and other District 4 projects.
Hobbies and Interests:
Sean likes cooking, reading, travelling, hiking and camping. He has enjoyed working three wine harvests in the Willamette Valley, and is a cat person. In addition to being an avid Blazers fan, Sean is also a big Timbers and Mariners supporter.
