Business Continuity
A business continuity plan, also known as continuity of operations plan or COOP, is a logistical plan for how an organization will recover and restore interrupted critical functions after a disaster and within a predetermined time. If an event occurs that limits our resources, this plan will instruct managers on how to continue critical public health operations.
An internal or external crisis can interrupt our ability to provide services to clients and the community. By creating a business continuity plan, we can ensure timely and orderly continuation or resumption of our key operations.
Updating the plan, training and practicing will be an ongoing, department-wide process.
