Learn about health system transformation on new county page
Health system transformation is the vision of Governor John Kitzhaber and the Oregon Legislature and will transform the health system for community members served by the Oregon Health Plan. Transformation efforts are moving quickly in Oregon and will impact Multnomah County, the largest safety net provider in Oregon for primary care and dental care.
The county is also the public health authority and mental health authority leading many prevention efforts and operating the crisis system of care. All community members have a stake in this dynamic transformation.
Multnomah County is committed to ensuring residents are informed about these developments as they unfold and we’ve launched a user-friendly website to provide the latest information. The site will feature news updates, videos and stories of clients and providers as we move through transformation and beyond.
Multnomah County’s success in person-centered care and community prevention work is a model that statewide reforms will build on. Stories of client success and the values that Multnomah County brings to the community members we serve: equity, quality, compassion and stewardship will be reflected on the website.
