Draft Climate Change Preparation Strategy Released for Public Comment!

Climate Prep Strategy Multnomah County and the City of Portland released a two-part document detailing the City/County strategy for dealing with the region’s expected significant climate changes, including warmer, wetter winters and hotter, drier summers.


Climate Change and Public Health Preparation Plan Released!

On October 9th, 2013 the Multnomah County Health Department released the Climate Change and Public Health Preparation Plan. The plan identifies three key local public health impacts the region is likely to face: increased heat, poorer air quality, and changes to vector borne diseases. The plan also identifies strategies the County, its regional partners, and individuals can take to build local resilience to changes in our climate.
