Dan Bravin - Lead Instructor (Multnomah County Office of Sustainability)
Dan Bravin currently works for Multnomah County's Office of Sustainability as the Food Program Coordinator. He has managed the county's CROPS program since the 2009 farm season, delivering over 40,000 lbs of fresh, organically grown produce directly to the Oregon Food Bank Network using surplus county land, volunteer labor, and donated materials. Dan has also managed a small, urban-based CSA program and understands how difficult it can be to break into the very rewarding field of small scale agriculture.
Jen Aron - Instructor
Jen Aron has served as a garden educator since 2009, teaching for OSU Extension, Metro, PSU, and the City of Portland. She owned a successful sustainable landscape design business in Portland and managed the Better Together Garden at City Hall for several years before she found herself working full time for the BUFA program. Jen currently manages the one acre farm at the Learning Gardens Laboratory and keeps the program’s farmers market and CSA running smoothly throughout the season. Jen is passionate about teaching, growing food and loves planting the farm with plants that attract beneficial insects and pollinators to help keep the farm in balance.
