Come celebrate Kwanzaa on Saturday, Dec. 28! Enjoy drumming, food, gifts and family activities and a visit from the Brown Clown. The International Center for Traditional Childbearing (ICTC) and the African American Breastfeeding Coalition invite you and your family to enjoy with African-American holiday from 3-6 p.m. at the New Columbia Community Education Center. Cost is free and all are welcome.

Of the seven principles of Kwanzaa, principle number 3 is: Ujima: To build and maintain our community together and make our brother’s and sister’s problems our problems and to solve them together.

At this celebration, you are invited to drink from the Unity Cup and learn why our collective work will strengthen our whole community and support healthy families.

The Multnomah County Health Department will also be on site to provide free lead testing.
